All waste management processes carried out indoors using the state-of-the-art GICOM Composting System

All waste management processes including waste acceptance will be carried out indoors and will therefore assist against any nuisance caused by operational noise, light spillage,
or odour.

All staff will be highly trained and the site manager will obtain a Certificate Of Technical Competence (COTC) from the Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory Board (WAMITAB).

The organic waste materials would be processed in a GICOM designed state-of-the art tunnel composting plant. GICOM are Dutch manufacturers of tunnel composting systems which are used safely and successfully throughout Europe.

GICOM were commissioned by Colin Glen Compost (CGC) to design the composting plant for the proposed facility. GICOM are an internationally renowned company based in the Netherlands with over 20 years experience in the design and development of computer-controlled composting facilities for mushroom growth and waste treatment

The GICOM composting system is based on composting organic material with a forced aeration through the floor of
the facility.

The GICOM system runs in many climate zones; from the colder climates in Canada, Iceland and Finland to warmer countries close to the equator. Worldwide the system is applied and designed for local conditions.
