The new company, Colin Glen Compost (CGC) has been formed to develop the Glenside Quarry. However, the directors of the business have been involved in composting for many years and are also involved in other organic composting businesses, namely Natural World Products (NWP) and Rosy Lee Organic Compost. These companies are the largest green waste recyclers and organic waste recyclers for local authorities in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Currently the companies recycle almost 40% of these waste types in Northern Ireland.

Waste growth and composting has expanded rapidly since 2000 and the company is seeking to grow its capacity further to meet the needs of organic waste producers, especially local authorities, through the establishment of Colin Glen Compost.
